Position Summary:
We are looking to add another part time or full time RVT to our clinic. Looking for someone who is dependable and experienced and has a strong background in small animal care. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling animals, adaptable in a busy clinic environment, and capable of performing a variety of technical tasks. A solid work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures involving small animals
- Collect, process, and document laboratory samples accurately
- Perform diagnostic imaging, including radiographs, in accordance with clinic protocols
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records
- Provide support in patient care through safe restraint, monitoring, and administering treatments
- Ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets’ care and treatment
- Respond to phone calls and emails professionally and in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in the province of New Brunswick, or actively working toward certification, or genuinely interested in pursuing RVT designation
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred; recent graduates with a strong background in animal care will also be considered
- Physically capable of lifting and restraining animals and equipment, and comfortable being on your feet for extended periods
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to high standards of patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with basic veterinary software and record-keeping is an asset
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development
