City Animal Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a very busy small animal, single doctor practice, where patient care is a priority. The ideal individual must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills suited to a team environment. The ability to work well under pressure is a must.
The individual should be knowledgeable in anesthesia protocols, surgical monitoring, laboratory work, digital imaging, basic dentistry, animal restraint, and nursing care. Duties will also entail answering phones, assisting in appointments, making up and dispensing medications, and basic client education. If you are a new grad, we offer the chance to learn from our experienced RVTs; if you have been in the field for a while, you will be given the chance to hone your skills in our fast-paced environment.
We are open Monday-Friday, and with the introduction of Fredericton’s first 24/7 hospital this year, our technicians are no longer required to work on-call. We offer paid CE, discounts on goods and services, and flexible scheduling. Pay is commensurate with ability and experience.
