Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with experience in both small animal and equine care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and confident handling small animals and horses, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and capable of performing a variety of technical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries for both small animals and horses
- Handle and restrain horses safely and confidently
- Collect and process lab samples using Heska diagnostic equipment
- Perform radiographs using DR (Digital Radiography) and operate a GE ultrasound unit
- Maintain accurate patient records in EzyVet software
- Communicate with clients through PetDesk and other platforms
- Support patient care with proper restraint, monitoring, and treatment
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the province of New Brunswick
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience, a recent graduate with a strong animal background would be considered
- Comfortable working with horses and knowledge of the equine industry are a strong asset
- Physically capable of lifting and restraining animals and equipment and being on your fit all day
- Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays as part of a rotating schedule
