CE Requirements for RVTs

Continuing Education

The NBVMA/EVTA CE requirements is 30 hours accumulated over 2 years. These hours must be completed in the 24 months proceeding the renewal year. 

The CE reporting period will be as follows:

For the 2023/2024 renewal year, the reporting window will be from June 1, 2021 – May 31, 2023
For the 2024/2025 renewal year, the reporting window will be from June 1, 2022 – May 31, 2024
For the 2025/2026 renewal year, the reporting window will be from June 1, 2023 – May 31, 2025

Continuing education may be completed by any or all of the following activities:

• RACE-approved CE hours either online or physical conferences
• Lunch & Learn (maximum 7 hours)
• Workshops, wetlabs, technical training sessions (ex. dental radiology training, cytology, etc).
• Professional journals or memberships (max 2 hour per journal/membership to a max of 6 hour for the category)
• Professional committee participation (EVTA, NBVMA with a maximum of 4 hours)
• Professional lectures (lectures given at the RVT level at a conference, public education event, etc.) (maximum 4 hours)
• Published article (maximum 4 hours)

Any activity not listed may be submitted to the Registrar for consideration as being valid CE and credit assigned.
