The Government of New Brunswick Animal Health Services Branch is a progressive large/food animal veterinary service provider. With a One Team One GNB approach, the Provincial Veterinary Field Service is an employer of choice.
Animal Health Services currently has several 1-year contracts for veterinarians interested in large animal practice beginning in January 2024. These contracts are for positions in the Bathurst and Moncton Regions.
Positions include a fully equipped 4X4 full size truck with attached mobile veterinary unit. You will have access to the latest equipment and technology such as an Easi-Scan BCF ultrasound machine, power float, surgical equipment, and digital radiograph system.
The Provincial Veterinary Service is closely linked to the Provincial Laboratory, including assistance from our two Provincial Pathologists. Remuneration is based on education and experience; proficiency in both official languages is an asset but not essential. Participation in an on-call schedule is also required. In addition to receiving a competitive salary, we will provide benefits such as NBVMA/CVMA membership, memberships to associations of the practitioner’s choice (AABP, AAEP, ABPA), vacation, dental, medical, provisions of work attire, and overtime pay.
