Position Overview:
This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing urgent care to a variety of cases. You will work alongside a dedicated team of DVM’s, Veterinary Technicians, and support
staff, ensuring that each patient receives the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide urgent care services to pets experiencing acute medical conditions or emergencies.
● Perform surgeries or sedated procedures as needed based on comfort level and skill set
● Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing clear updates and discussing treatment options.
● Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
● Assist with diagnostics, including bloodwork, radiographs, and other in-house testing.
Qualifications:
● Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
● Active veterinary license in New Brunswick and/or PEI (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on emergency and urgent care preferred.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multi-tasking capabilities.
● Proficiency in diagnostic tools and procedures (radiology, lab work, etc.).
● Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Compensation:
● Competitive hourly rate of $100-120/hour
● Production based compensation
● Paid malpractice insurance and other benefits (if applicable).
