The Westmorland Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital located in Sackville, NB. We are looking to hire a Veterinary Technician for an upcoming maternity leave position! We are now accepting applications! We are offering full time hours, with no on call, night shifts or weekends.

You will be working alongside two Veterinarians, as well as two experienced Veterinary Technicians, two Vet Assistants and receptionists.
Our clinic is equipped with in house diagnostics such as a microscope, digital x-ray, specialized Heska blood machines (CBC, Chemistry, SDMA, Phenobarbital levels, Fructosamine and Thyroid testing), a new in house digital cytology and fecal analyzer, a new digital dental x-ray and dental machine, two anesthetic machines, and new monitoring equipment allowing us to safely perform a variety of surgical procedures. We will also be looking into adding an ultrasound this year, which gives the opportunity to receive CE credits for your yearly registration.
As a Veterinary Technician working at the Westmorland Animal Hospital, your job will include, but will not be limited to: Nursing duties, administering medications, collecting lab samples, placing IV catheters, monitoring surgeries with confidence, scrubbing in to assist with surgical procedures, taking both dental and regular x-rays, producing lab results (Blood smears, urinalysis, fecal, and various cytology), charting notes, client education, restraint, and keeping the clinic clean.
Although experience is considered an asset, it is not necessary, as we welcome new and recent grads to apply for this position.
